George Brookman, CEO, West Canadian Digital Imaging Inc. an extraordinary 3rd generation Calgarian!

Entrepreneur at heart and community builder by nature George is CEO of West Canadian Digital Imaging, a leading technology, information managment and digital printing company in Canada.

George’s community commitment is clear though the many organizations he has been a part of including Past President of The Calgary Stampede and the Downtown Rotary Club. He co-founded Breakfast on the Bridge, and now serves as a Director of the Stampede Foundation and the Canada Global Affairs Institute. George is Chairman of the Dean’s Circle for the Faculty of Environmental Studies at the University of Calgary as well as he sits on the Board of Directors of Homer Investments. SAIT has recognized George’s many achievements by awarding him an Honourary Degree.

Many Calgarians know, admire and love Jim! Why? Because he’s a fabulous person! And great things happen when you’re with him!

His passion for community investment has been a common thread through his career and has earned him a philanthropy award from the Canadian Association of Fundraising Professionals, two “40 Under 40” awards with Calgary Inc (now Avenue Magazine), an e-Award for Community Service from Alberta Venture Magazine, the Sherrold Moore Community Award thru the Calgary Chamber and most recently recognized as a Calgary Leader by Business in Calgary Magazine. And then there’s Jim’s inspired contribution to Dave Kelly Live! Thank goodness, Jim came west!

This optimist’s TLC always energizes his family and friends! Jim says: “My philosophy isn’t that I’m dying; my philosophy is that I’m living!” Jim has terminal cancer and was given a year to live. He’s passed this date and is directing much of his energy to his health, his family and helping others deal with cancer through his blog – www.GatherWithJim.com

On November 13th, Jim will share how he’s overcome the obstacles in his life and how he defines success.
